Ecomilez, a leading Egyptian logistics startup specializing in Middle Mile (Linehaul) solutions, has announced the successful completion of a pre-seed funding round and a strategic partnership with Abu Dhabi-based Vhubs Limited. While the investment amount remains undisclosed, the partnership aims to accelerate Ecomilez’s expansion across key regional markets, including Egypt, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.

This investment marks a significant milestone in Ecomilez’s growth trajectory, empowering the company to solidify its presence and enhance its services throughout the region. Mohamed Ismail, CEO of Ecomilez, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “This investment reflects strong confidence in our vision and capabilities. We are committed to utilizing this funding to expand the use of technological solutions in the logistics sector, bolster inter-city and inter-provincial shipping services, and refine our service offerings. Ultimately, our goal is to revolutionize the logistics sector by reducing service time and cutting costs by up to 30%.”

Ahmed Wahsh, CEO of Vhubs, emphasized the shared vision between the two companies and highlighted the immense opportunities within the logistics industry. “Ecomilez has the potential to transform the supply chain and logistics landscape on a regional level,” he noted. “This collaboration reflects Vhubs’ clear vision to invest in innovative solutions that will streamline logistics services across the region, as evidenced by our presence in numerous countries.”

The middle mile in logistics is the crucial link that transports goods from the port or production facility to warehouses or distribution centers. Also known as local distribution, this phase of the supply chain offers unique cost-saving potential not typically available in last-mile delivery.

Founded in 2023, Ecomilez’s focus on Middle Mile solutions addresses a critical segment of the supply chain, ensuring efficient and reliable transportation of goods between distribution centers and last-mile delivery hubs. By leveraging technology and strategic partnerships, Ecomilez aims to optimize logistics operations, improve delivery times, and reduce costs for businesses across the Middle East.

The partnership with Vhubs, a prominent player in the logistics sector with a strong regional footprint, will provide Ecomilez with valuable resources, expertise, and market access. This collaboration is poised to create synergies that will drive innovation and enhance the overall efficiency of the logistics ecosystem in the region.
