AfriLabs, a pan-African network of technology and innovation hubs, has announced the addition of 18 new member hubs across the continent. This expansion marks a significant milestone for the organization, further solidifying its presence in all regions of Africa and showcasing the continent’s vibrant innovation landscape.

Among the newly admitted hubs is SU LaunchLab, located in Stellenbosch, South Africa, marking AfriLabs’ first presence in the city. This diverse group of hubs, spanning from North Africa to Southern Africa, brings fresh perspectives and dynamic initiatives to the AfriLabs community.

“We are truly inspired by the remarkable growth of our network, which showcases Africa’s boundless potential and innovation,” said Mayssa Mrabet, AfriLabs’ director of community. “Each new hub enriches our community with unique perspectives and opportunities.”

The expansion includes hubs in various regions, including:

• North Africa: DigiArtLivingLab (Tunis and Nabeul, Tunisia), Connect’Innov (Tunis, Tunisia), The Dot (Tunis, Tunisia)
• Egypt: PTS Investments Holdings, Aria Ventures (both in Cairo)
• Western Africa: Mswitch (Abuja, Nigeria)
• Eastern Africa: Africa Tech Space (Nakuru, Kenya), Owl Innovation Labs (Nairobi, Kenya), RLabs Tanzania (Iringa, Tanzania), AfriFORTIFIED Hub (Kisumu, Kenya)
• Southern Africa: ScaleUp Namibia (Windhoek, Namibia), OceanHub Africa (Cape Town, South Africa), SU LaunchLab (Stellenbosch, South Africa), Graca Machel Trust’s Women Creating Wealth initiative (Johannesburg)
• Central Africa: Ovation, Kivutech (both in Kinshasa, DR Congo), Revival Innovation Hub (Bua, Cameroon), Diambilay Business Centre (Lubumbashi, DR Congo)
