LabLabee, a groundbreaking training platform specializing in future network technologies, has raised $3.4 million in seed funding to accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge technologies in telecom, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. Led by Reach Capital and joined by investors such as Classera, Brighteye Ventures, and e& capital, this funding round also attracted prominent business angels, including Cedric Sellin and Mohammed Husamaddin.

The fresh capital will enable LabLabee to expand its innovative hands-on training platform, which provides professionals with immersive learning experiences in next-generation technologies like 5G, cloud-native solutions, and AI-driven applications. This seed round marks a pivotal moment in the company’s journey to address the global skills gap in the telecom and industrial sectors.

Aiming to Close the Telecom Skills Gap

Founded by Algerian telecom engineers Samir Tahraoui, Mahfoud Sidi Ali Mebarek, LabLabee is committed to democratizing access to knowledge in the fast-evolving tech space. The company offers tailored training solutions for professionals in telecommunications, systems integration, and industrial sectors, enabling them to gain practical experience in technologies such as 5G, IoT, private cloud, and AI.

“New technologies are reshaping the telecom landscape, and the skills gap in these areas has become the most significant hurdle to their broader adoption,” said Esteban Sosnik, General Partner at Reach Capital. “LabLabee’s platform solves this by offering a flexible, affordable way for telecom professionals to upskill and stay ahead of the curve.”

The telecommunications industry, valued at more than $1.8 trillion globally, is undergoing a significant transformation. Hyperscalers like Microsoft and AWS are entering the space through acquisitions and private 5G deployments, while industrial giants such as Nestlé and Aramco are implementing private networks to drive efficiency and innovation. However, this rapid evolution has created a critical shortage of professionals who possess the necessary skills to design, deploy, and manage these advanced networks.

    Practical, On-Demand Training

LabLabee addresses the need for specialized training through a platform that offers on-demand, hands-on labs in key technologies, including 5G, IMS, OpenStack, and Kubernetes. Unlike traditional learning environments, LabLabee’s virtual labs enable professionals to practice real-world scenarios, ensuring they are equipped to implement these technologies in their organizations.

CEO Samir Tahraoui, drawing from his own frustrations as a telecom engineer, created LabLabee to offer a more practical and efficient way to learn complex technologies. “Future networks are constantly evolving, and professionals need access to the right tools and training to keep up. LabLabee’s solution allows them to quickly master new technologies and apply these skills in the field,” Tahraoui said.

The company’s innovative approach has already attracted major telecom operators and industrial firms, with clients including Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Ooredoo, and Andorra Telecom. LabLabee has also partnered with industry leaders like Juniper and Wind River to deliver cutting-edge training.

    Expanding Global Reach

With its newly secured funding, LabLabee plans to expand its presence across the EMEA region and accelerate its entry into the US market through collaborations with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The company is also set to enhance its platform with immersive features like sandbox learning environments, allowing users to learn, practice, and test their skills in one integrated system.

LabLabee’s course catalog is set to grow, with new training modules in emerging fields such as telco security, edge computing, and Industry 4.0. The company also plans to scale its international team, adding experts in engineering, sales, and customer support to serve its expanding user base.

    A Growing EdTech Leader

Founded in 2021 in Oran, Algeria, LabLabee has garnered recognition for its innovative approach to training. In 2022, the company won the prestigious Startup of the Year award at the Total Telecom Congress in London, a notable accolade that highlights its growing influence in the telecommunications sector.

By combining technical expertise with industry insights, LabLabee aims to bridge the skills gap that hampers the widespread adoption of 5G and other next-generation technologies. Its unique platform ensures that professionals worldwide can gain the hands-on experience needed to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing industry.

As LabLabee continues to evolve, the company remains focused on its mission to empower the next generation of telecom and tech professionals, ultimately shaping the future of global communication networks.
